Customer Support Manager

To enable Liberty to continue to enhance its industry leading customer service, we are looking to recruit for the newly-created role of Customer Support Manager.

Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer and managing a team of six, the successful candidate will work closely with the UK and Ireland Sales teams with responsibility for the development of all current and prospective customers.

The Role:

- Managing a diverse team to effectively prioritise work and maximise synergies. Work with the team to ensure that there is day-to-day cover for all key tasks and that the role of supporting our customers is evolved to remain industry leading.
- Responsible for all aspects of customer support including attending customer tastings and working closely with the Customer Services Manager to ensure that customer preferences are updated. 
- A key aspect of the role will be working alongside Liberty Wines‘ Wine Educator to improve the reach and quality of customers‘ education and knowledge of our wines, covering both WSET and Liberty Wines Academy programmes. 
- Working with Brand Managers to produce all price lists, ensuring prompt customer communication, as well as organising customer trips to wineries.
- Working with Sales to analyse customer performance, devise and maintain reports to track key customer performance, key region performance and ad hoc in-depth analysis as required. 
- Organising and running quarterly sales meetings, as well as devising and maintaining Sales team incentive programmes with the Commercial Director.
- Customer development including working with the Sales and Events teams to identify and develop prospective customers. 
- Working with the Sales team and Designer on customer proposals.

Skills & Experience:

- Experienced manager with in-depth knowledge of customer services
- Excellent people and communication skills
- Good analytical skills and knowledge of IT systems, especially Excel
- Strong budgetary management ethos
- Excellent knowledge of wine, preferably with WSET Level 3 or above

Salary and Benefits:

Salary range is dependent on experience with the following: 
- Personal bonus of up to 5% of salary based on performance against key objectives
- Participation in discretionary Company bonus
- 22 days holiday rising to 25 days

Events Manager

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Events Manager to join us with responsibility for the planning, delivery and management of all events across the Liberty Wines calendar.

Role & Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Project Director, and with management responsibility for an Events Co-ordinator, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

- Organisation and delivery of all six of Liberty Wines’ annual portfolio tastings, as well as co-ordination of Liberty Wines’ presence at externally organised tasting events
- Project management of all portfolio tastings, including effective process planning pre-event and post-event reviews and analysis
- Supporting relevant Brand Managers with additional country/category tastings, as well as Liberty Wines-organised supplier events
- Organisation of around 20 annual customer group visits to our world-wide based producers each year
- Solely responsible for planning and management of the Event Budget and for providing Finance with relevant supporting information as required
- Setting, communicating and maintaining timelines and priorities on every project is essential

Essential Skills & Experience:

- Applicants must have extensive experience in successfully developing and managing events
- The ability to multi-task and work well under pressure is essential, as is a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience and confidence with budget management
- Strong Excel and database skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Desirable Skills & Experience:

- Experience with Wine Trade events
- French/Italian speaking

The Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business opportunities whilst seeking to grow sales with a number of existing Liberty Wines customers.

Applicants for this sales role ideally will have proven trade sales experience with a track record of developing sales amongst a variety of accounts. 

Skills and Experience:

- An in-depth knowledge of London on-trade and off-trade is essential and the ability to build strong working relationships with a wide range of customers is essential
- An ability to meet sales targets is requisite for this role
- Self-motivated with a positive outlook and excellent communication skills
- Be able to demonstrate good wine knowledge, preferably at WSET Diploma level

Salary and Benefits:

Salary/package plus sales commission will be commensurate with experience as well as:
