Rewarding service excellence at the National Restaurant Awards

Liberty Wines is proud to have sponsored the Service Award at the National Restaurant Awards for the second year running which took place at The Hurlingham Club in London on 29th June.

The sponsorship of the awards was in conjunction with Charles Heidsieck who was the official Champagne partner.  The event, which included the announcement of the Top 100 restaurants in the UK and special awards including the coveted National Restaurant of the Year title, was run in conjunction with Restaurant magazine. 

The awards were judged by 150 industry experts, drawn from all regions of the UK and comprising chefs, restaurateurs, food writers and critics and other food experts and gastronomes.

Winners of individual awards - including the ‘Restaurant of the Year‘ Barrafina – were drawn from restaurants‘ positioning on the resultant list.  Four awards - Best Wine List (The Square), the Service Award (Paul Ainsworth at No 6), Best Cocktail List (Chiltern Firehouse) and Lifetime Achievement (Rick Stein) - were voted for separately by the same academy of experts.

Industry-recognised for excellent service, sponsoring the service award allows us to demonstrate our understanding of what it takes to excel as a restaurateur in the UK and it is a great way to reward those businesses that take good service as seriously as we do.
