A happy harvest at Willunga 100

As the harvest comes to a close across the vineyards of the northern hemisphere it is nice to see how they do things on the southern side! The team at Willunga 100 have just sent through a lovely short film of their harvest time from earlier in the year which gives a great snapshot of all the hard work that goes into their wines.

Winemaker Tim James shared his thoughts on the vintage during his visit in September, "The 2012 season was excellent so we had high hopes for 2013. We had a lot of rain over the winter so water reserves in the subsoil were good and flowering and set produced no real problems. January and February were hot and dry so it was really important to control yields, however it was an easy year in terms of disease with no issues at all.  Taking into account a warmer than average growing season and a compressed harvest window, the overall quality of the fruit from the vintage is very good."
