Appetising and interesting… Admirably well balanced and sleek.
We loved this Shiraz… It‘s such a winning combination of aromatic, almost floral pure black fruit with the powerful but textured palate (there‘s grip here), the savoury spicy pepper and wild herbs and the purity of that fruit really singing on the finish.
Incredibly focused violet perfume, blueberry and plum fruit with palate drive yet medium-bodied restraint; gravel-like tannin texture and great persistence.
Vivid crimson hue; a complex bouquet, with a wealth of red and black fruits, spice and ironstone complexity; the medium to full bodied palate is fleshy, silky, rich and almost hedonistic in its appeal; long, languid and beautifully detailed from start to finish; excellent viticulture and winemaking in total harmony.
This is a concentrated wine and carries a lot of oak, but it all works. The colour is impressively profound and the spicy fruit interwines seamlessly with oak; Black fruits are also present. It‘s superbly elegant and intense, progressing along the palate with grace.
I just love the 2010 Shiraz... There’s lovely black cherry and plum fruit, but also lovely savoury complexity, with some fennel seed, clove and pepper character. It’s a wine that’s easy to drink, but which also repays attention. This is pretty serious stuff.
A bit less dense than most Shiraz, showing dark cherry and berry flavours, with savoury pepper and mineral notes weaving through the finish.
