Perfumed and fruit driven on the nose, silky and elegant but powerful on the palate with a long raspberry and vanilla oak aftertaste.
Light red. Scented and heady, lots of Mornington cranberries on the nose. Good fresh fruit but no gratuitous sweetness. Pungent dry finish. Lots of minerality and texture on the end.
Purple-red, with good depth; an intense, complex wine with the characteristic tannin play of the Downie Pinots, the fruit flavours moving more to red; has great length and balance.
A provocative, resonant wine with a beautiful synthesis of oak and fruit. Silky and elegant but a powerful, mouthfilling experience. Shows a deft touch
With great intensity on nose and palate, it shows ripe but well defined raspberry, cranberry and redcurrant fruit subtly edged with leaf and aromatic five spice notes. Textured suede tannins bring an attractive earthiness. A powerful Pinot with impressive balance, layer and line.
