Smoky and mineral, this overflows with tobacco and spice, but it has lovely cool black fruit too. On the palate it is precise and very refined, a cigar boxy, cedary spice is there but such lovely sweetness at its core.
Medium to full-bodied, dense, corpulent black cherry and black currant fruit intermixed with notions of liquorice, roasted herbs, cedar, spice box and toasty oak…very satisfying on a hedonistic level.
Bold but fragrant young wine, with bags of dusty dark blackcurrant, blackberry and loganberry fruit given interest by perfumed/spicy vanilla notes, a light toasty edge and a sappy, happy finish. Richly flavoured, but retains some freshness.
