Ata Rangi is the crowned king of NZ Pinot. It has been making stunning wine for a long time – experience, vine age and a great vineyard site giving a competitive edge. This wine is a wonderful medley of fruit and savoury characters.
A heady, perfumed mix of floral, cherry, plum and spice flavours in an elegant style. This is a wine of surprising power that lingers tantalisingly long after it has been swallowed. Truly seductive.
Big, voluptuous, smooth and rounded with a whiff of smoke and a steely core. Expensive but there are times when you have to pay for quality. This is well worth it.
Medium ruby-purple coloured, it offers expressive notes of kirsch, black raspberries, wild blueberries and violets over hints of black pepper, cedar, forest floor, humus and black truffles. Medium-full bodied with a good amount of muscular fruit, it has a medium level of grainy tannins, medium-high acid and a long earthy finish.
Fragrant raspberry, with clean, pure fruit.
Very fresh and succulent and burgundian. Delicate cherry fruit - sweetest Beaune? Lots of sweetness on the front but polished too with a lovely savoury finish. Very fine and velvety.
