This is lush, waxy wine flowing with honey and goldengage syrup but also a more burnished fruit - bronze-skinned pears, a fig and almond treacle tart. It all seems so honey-dewed, honeydropped, honey-drizzled, until you realize there's something scuffing your tongue, something dusty, heat haze, the peach skin you chew, then do you spit or swallow? Swallow - then drink deep once more.
