Brand Manager

An opportunity has come up in our Brand Management team for an experienced brand manager to look after some of the worlds’ admired wine producers, including Sandeman Port.

The Role:

The successful candidate will have around four years’ experience of brand management / marketing wine producers in the UK market. They will manage a varied portfolio of producers with a focus on Portugal and Spain. Commercial understanding of the UK wine trade is essential, with experience dealing with trade customers across all channels.

Key Responsibilities:

-
Effective supplier liaison
- Supporting Sales Team to drive increased sales of the producers’ wines
- Implementing full Brand Plans for key producers
- Hosting events for trade, press, consumers
- Managing allocations and stocks / vintage change overs
- Monthly reports to brand owners and internal reporting
- Managing trips to producers
- Managing UK based PR agency
- Itineraries for UK and Ireland visits for winemakers
- Managing A&P Budgets

Skills & Experience:

-
4 years’ experience in wine trade marketing, with minimum 2 years’ experience in Brand Management
- Experience selling / marketing Port
- WSET Diploma desirable, WSET L3 essential
- Strong IT skills – use of Excel (particularly pivot tables), Power Point, Outlook
- Languages desirable – particularly Portuguese and Spanish

Customer Services Assistant

An opportunity has arisen for a Customer Services Assistant to work in our vibrant Customer Services department. This role is the first point of contact for our wide range of customers and is responsible for delivering the great service that Liberty Wines takes pride in.

Working as part of a close-knit team, we need people who are willing to go the extra mile to ensure exemplary service to each and every customer.

Skills & Experience:

Warehouse Supervisor (Early Morning Shift)

An opportunity has arisen for a Warehouse Supervisor to join our busy Warehouse & Distribution team. Reporting to our Route Planner, this role will have responsibility for the following:

People Management

-
Supervise the early morning picking operation including:

- Assisting with planning of staff rotas
- Ensure picking accuracy and efficiency
- Assisting with co-ordination of unloading and put away of daily replenishment stock
- Coordinating van loading

- Implement continuous improvement ideas with warehouse staff
- Assist in leading team meetings and briefings

Warehouse

Picking and preparation of orders for despatch
- Vehicle loading and unloading (hand ball and forklift)
- Liaison with Customer Services, and other internal departments, to ensure all queries/customer enquiries are resolved within service levels
- Ensuring service standards are maintained, work processes are followed, and are continually monitored to be improved
- Communicating issues for handover to the afternoon team

Health & Safety

Skills & Experience:

Experience in supervising and motivating a team

Hours:

- Monday to Friday 2.30am – 11.00am
- Possible variable shift pattern during the week with voluntary overtime during peak periods

Communications Co-ordinator

We are recruiting for a Communications Co-ordinator to join our busy Communications team. Responsible for press relations and digital communications for Liberty Wines products and producers within the UK and Ireland, this is a varied role that requires a passion for wine and offers the opportunity to work across all our marketing teams.

Key Responsibilities:

1) Press relations - manage all product and producer related communications, plus ad hoc corporate communications, with UK and Ireland trade and consumer press, including:

Human Resources Co-ordinator

We are currently recruiting an experienced and highly organised HR Co-ordinator. Working alongside the HR Manager, this is a varied role within a fast-paced environment for a proactive and personable individual.

Key Responsibilities:

Full responsibility for the day to day administrative and transactional HR processes including monthly payroll administration and managing the relationship with outsourced payroll provider;
- Production of offers / contracts / correspondence/work permits/HR policies and procedures;
- Assist the HR Manager in providing support and advice to managers and employees relating to all areas of employment and HR practice
- Assist managers with the recruitment and induction of new starters;
- Employee benefits and insurance administration;
- Assist with co-ordinating the appraisal process across the company including objective setting and annual salary reviews;
- Review and update job descriptions to include job specific competencies;
- Assisting HR Manager with adhoc projects where required

Skills & Experience:

- Experience within an administrative HR role
- Currently studying (or looking to study) towards an HR qualification

Applicants for this sales role will need to demonstrate proven trade sales experience with a track record of growing and developing key accounts.    Possessing a well-developed network of contacts and the ability to contribute to sales strategy and industry insight is essential.

An in-depth knowledge of on-trade and off-trade is essential as well as the ability to build strong working relationships with a wide range of customers

Assistant Buyer

An exciting new opportunity has arisen within our Buying team for an experienced Buyer to assist in developing and maintaining our award-winning portfolio of wines.

Working in a fast-paced environment, this role is ideal for a self-motivated, articulate individual with strong negotiation and communication skills, an astute palate and commercial acumen.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with sourcing and managing the portfolio of a selection of suppliers from Europe and the New World, ensuring the products sourced are commercially relevant

- Researching regions and producers and attending trade tastings when required

- Working closely with shipping, brand managers, sales and customer business support to ensure that all information required from producers is obtained for ongoing business development

- Writing new producer profiles for the trade list, fact sheets and helping with technical details when required

- Supporting the Buying team by responding promptly to requests for information and examining lists for accuracy and suitability

- Assist with managing fine wines for the fine wine list and costing cellar purchases when required

- Some travel to trade fairs and wine regions to meet with potential and existing producers

Skills & Experience:

- Astute palate and ability to assess quality quickly through tasting

An opportunity has arisen for a Warehouse Assistant to join our team.   Reporting directly to the Warehouse Assistant Manager, the role will have responsibility for the following:

Warehouse

Stock Replenishment

- Stock put away from our daily stock replenishment;
- Ensuring accuracy of stock put away into correct locations.

- Actively participate in continuous improvement activities;
- Any other reasonable tasks as required.

Person Specification

- Flexi forklift licence desired but not essential;
- Excellent accuracy and attention to detail;
- Able to work unsupervised, and plan own workload;
- Computer literate.

Hours

- Evening shift shift 1:30pm to 10pm Monday to Thursday and 10am to 6:30pm on Friday (40 hours per week)
