Champagne, champagne France

Laurent-Perrier was founded by Eugène Laurent in Tours-sur-Marne in 1812 and is still family-run today. While known first and foremost for its Cuvée Rosé, Laurent-Perrier is now one of the most highly regarded Champagne houses due to the quality of the entire range, all of which is vinified by winemaker Michel Fauconnet. The grapes are sourced from 55 villages and the vineyards are all sustainably farmed.

The La Cuvée Brut NV is a blend of 55% Chardonnay, 35% Pinot Noir and 10% Meunier, with four years' ageing on the lees and less dosage than usual at 9 g/l residual sugar. Created in 1968, the Cuvée Rosé is a blend of 100% Pinot Noir from 10 different villages. The rosé colour is achieved by a short maceration of the Pinot Noir for 48 to 72 hours. The rosé is cellared for at least five years before its release.

The Brut Millésimé is made only in the very best years, and the 2008 is a 50:50 blend of Chardonnay (exclusively from the Côte des Blancs) and Pinot Noir (from the Montagne de Reims). The Grand Siècle Brut is a Chardonnay/Pinot Noir blend from three exceptional vintages, aged for a minimum of eight years.
