Purity Brewing Co.

Warwickshire, warwickshire England

Purity Brewing Company brewed its first beer out of a converted barn located in Warwickshire in 2005. Co-founders Paul Halsey and Jim Minkin and brewer Flo Vialin strive to make craft beers to the highest standards while respecting the environment.

Spent grains and yeast are reused as animal feed and the hops are used as fertiliser. At Purity, for every pint brewed, three pints of water are returned to nature. Brewery wastewater goes through a five month, nine-step wetland cleaning process where the water is naturally cleaned and filtered through ponds, ditches, a weir, trees and reeds. The wetland has become a wildlife sanctuary and attracts moorhens, ducks, Canada geese, hawks and many other birds.

'Pure Gold' is a refreshing golden ale. The citrus and spice notes are wonderfully balanced by a bitter and dry finish. 'Mad Goose' is a zesty pale ale, with toffee malt combining with grapefruit notes on a smooth finish. 'Pure UBU' (pronounced oo-boo) is named after Purity's resident dog. This distinctive, full-flavoured amber ale has a sweeter finish and dark fruit notes.
