Vignerons de Valençay

Loire, loire France

As well as vinifying his family’s wine, Sébastien Vaillant joins his friend Damien Boisseur as the only two members of the Vignerons de Valençay co-operative, making it the smallest of its kind in the Loire, and possibly in France.

Their 40 hectares of vines are located on the hillsides surrounding the River Cher, which share much of the same Silex (flint) soils that make the finest of the Loire’s most mineral wines.

Their 100% Sauvignon Blanc VdP du Val de Loire represents phenomenal value. The wine is fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel and released for immediate enjoyment.
