Vinha do Monte

Alentejo, alentejo Portugal

Made at Herdade do Peso, these wines are from estate-grown fruit together with other grapes bought in from growers managed by the estate's viticulturalist. The wines are designated Vinho Regional Alentejano, which provides more flexibility with yields and grape varieties. They are fresh, forward and easy drinking.

A blend of Antão Vaz, Arinto and Roupeiro, the white is fermented at low temperatures in stainless steel to retain freshness. It is then aged on lees in tank for four months to add extra depth and a silky texture. The red is a blend of Aragonês, Alfrocheiro, Alicante Bouschet, Syrah and Trincadeira. It is fermented for eight days on the skins and then aged in stainless steel for six months prior to bottling.
