We have been Investors in People accredited since 2011 and, at the end of 2024, we became Silver accredited. This week, we built upon this by being one of just five finalists (out of 21 nominees) for the Investors in People Awards ‘UK Employer of the Year’.
Investors in People is a globally recognised standard that assesses organisations for excellence in people management, employee well-being, and development. Founded in 1991, IIP works with 39,000 companies in 101 countries, with only 22% of these achieving Silver status in 2025. We are very proud to be one of them.
We have worked hard to create a workplace built on our values (RIPE – Respect, Integrity, Passion and Excellence) where people can thrive and feel part of a community. In the last five years, our team has grown by over 100 people, and through social clubs, peer-voted RIPE awards, and committees focused on ED&I, Charity, and the Environment, we’ve fostered meaningful connections and brought people together via a shared sense of purpose.
Listening to our teams shapes so much of what we do. Using feedback informed by the IIP assessment guidelines, we’ve introduced initiatives such as enhanced parental leave, flexible holiday options, affordable car leasing, coaching programmes for management and updated performance reviews.
It is because of this, that we became Silver accredited; a powerful indication that we are making the right decisions for our team. Yet, we are continually refining our approach and striving to hopefully achieve Gold and Platinum accreditation in the future.


The IIP annual awards go one step further by spotlighting companies that embody the organisation’s mission to Make Work Better. We were thrilled to have been shortlisted for our dedication to developing passionate experts and driving growth through a culture founded on strong values.
Since our founding in 1997, our vision has been clear: to be the leading quality wine distributor, with the best wines, the best service, and the best people. Being nominated is a powerful validation of the progress we’ve made towards supporting our team to perform at their best and has inspired us to push ourselves even further.
