Auction in support of Hospitality Action goes live

The National Restaurant Awards have opted to redirect their efforts this year with an auction in support of the hospitality industry, and Liberty Wines and Piper-Heidsieck Champagne are pleased to be partnering with them once again. The auction sees the UK’s top chefs and restaurateurs from ‘Top 100’ restaurants offer an eclectic selection of once-in-a-life time culinary experiences with all proceeds going to support Hospitality Action’s Hospitality Recovery Fund.

Lots include a Chinatown experience with Andrew Wong (A Wong), a game masterclass with Adam Byatt (Trinity), a meal at The Angel Inn at Hetton, a meal for two at Paul Ainsworth’s Caffé Rojano, a private dining experience for 6 at Gymkhana, and a signature menu meal at Hakkasan. For these lots, winning bidders will also be welcomed with a glass of Piper-Heidsieck ‘Essentiel’ Cuvée Réservée Extra Brut NV, and will take a bottle home with them.

Open to the public, online bidding for the auction is now live and will run until 6pm on Sunday 6 September.

Money raised from the auction will go to industry charity Hospitality Action’s Hospitality Recovery Fund, which provides vital support to those working in the hospitality sector whose livelihoods are at risk of disappearing as a direct consequence of the pandemic.
